Official Language
The official working language of the meeting is English.
Child care
There are English speaking baby sitters available if booked and paid for in advance. The babysitters will take care of your baby/child on your hotel room or outdoors.
Price: SEK 270 per hour Monday to Friday from 8.00 until 20.00, SEK 540 per hour after 20.00 Monday to Friday and all day on weekends. (Prices are excl. VAT. No VAT will be added.)

Climate and clothing
It is late summer in Sweden and Uppsala in August and the weather can vary from chilly to warm with temperatures from 15 to 25°C. The daylight is about 15 hours. Warning for occasional showers. The organizers suggest that you bring a jacket or pullover and an umbrella or raincoat.
Local Currency
The Swedish monetary unit is the Swedish krona (SEK), divided into 100 öre. In January 2007; Euro 1=SEK 9.0, USD 1=SEK 6.8, GBP 1=SEK 13.4.. Major credit cards are accepted in most shops and restaurants.
Electricity
If you are travelling from outside Sweden, you may want to to bring electrical adaptors for any electrical appliances you bring. The electricity supply in Sweden is 220/230V.
Passport and visas
Delegates are advised to contact the nearest embassy, consulate or travel agency for information about the passport and visa requirements from their country for entry to Sweden.
Insurance and vaccinations
The conference fee does not cover insurance for the delegates. The organisers recommend that delegates take out insurance in their home country to cover pre-journey cancellation for personal reasons and necessary insurance to cover accidents, medical expenses and loss of personal belongings during the visit. No vaccinations are needed when visiting Sweden.
Force Majeure
In the event of the entire conference having to be cancelled due to force majeure, the organiser cannot accept liability for any claims for damages and/or losses.

The organisers cannot accept any liability for damages and/or losses of any kind which may be incurred by the conference participants or by any persons accompanying them, both during the official activities and the excursions. The client participates in all tours and events at his/her own responsibility.
Registration fee waivers
ESEB has set aside funds to cover up to 50 registration fee waivers to applicants from developing countries and Eastern Europe. This includes Africa, some countries in Asia, South and Central America, Russia and other former members of the Soviet Union, and new members of EU.
Authors wishing to be considered for this support should send CV, proposed abstract, and a declaration that they are not able to cover the registration fee from their own resources to eseb2007@akademikonferens.uu.se.
The applicant must be presenting author of a contribution (oral or poster presentation).
Applications will be handled as they arrive; closing date for applications is 15 April 2007.
